This service establishes a link between your checking account and one designated savings account.

In the event that your checking account does not have sufficient funds to pay an item that has been presented to us for payment, First Trade will execute a transfer of funds automatically from the available balance in the savings account to bring your checking account balance to $0.00. Regardless of the number of items paid, First Trade will only conduct one (1) daily transfer to cover the overdrawn amount. A fee of $5.00 will be charged per transfer.
This service is subject to Regulation D. You are permitted six (6) pre-authorized transactions per statement cycle. Each transfer counts as a preauthorization transaction.

Place stop payments on checks before they have been cashed.
You can place stop payments at a First Trade branch location or by phone.

If you choose to place a stop payment at a branch location, please have the following information:

• Account number
• Check number
• Check amount
• Payee
• Date of check

Stop Payments are valid for 6 months from the date the order was placed.

If you choose to place a stop payment on the phone, please be prepared to supply the following information:

• Account number
• Check number
• Check amount
• Payee
• Date of check

We will mail you a Stop Payment form that you must sign and return to First Trade (original document). Stop Payments placed on the phone will lapse after 14 calendar days if you do not confirm your order in writing within that time period. Once confirmed in writing, Stop Payments are extended for 6 months from the date the order was placed.

We are not obligated to notify you when a Stop Payment order expires. If you feel you need to extend beyond the 6 months, or if a verbal Stop Payment order has lapsed, you will need to place a new Stop Payment order.

Making a wire transfer at a branch location¹:

• Complete a Wire Transfer Out form. To do so, you will need to know the beneficiary bank’s routing number, address, beneficiary account number and beneficiary name

Making a wire transfer via fax¹:

• Complete a Wire Agreement²
• Fax the completed Wire Transfer Out form to Deposit Operations at 617.330.1061
• First Trade will contact you via the phone number on file to verify the information provided – we will not process the transfer until information is verified

¹Wire transfers must be received and verified by 3 PM ET for same-day processing. Wire transfers received after 3 PM ET will be processed on the next business day.
